STREET GLEANER'S GIFT 5

Left at the gate and somewhat disappointingly there are 9 NOT 11
but this gift takes COLLECTOR_Pr to almost the
halfway point toward their ZING11

STREET GLEANER'S GIFT 4

OK so there is a bit of serendipity going on here but the two collectors are at present blissfully unaware of it

FOOTnote: Well there is news to do with this gleaning. Like a Santa’s-little-helper COLLECTOR_Bff left COLLECTORS_Pr a GLEANEDgift and left it on their gate post just like GLEANERmickthey now know his name from his recycled Xmas card – and it now seems that he has a helper just like Santa has. COLLECTORS_Pr are wondering if this is going to be a growing idea – Gleaning discarded stuff (Krap?) and surreptitiously leaving it as a gift for unsuspecting COLLECTORS. It is an idea with merit – it might even help make the world a better place!?

STREET GLEANER'S GIFTS

BOGROLL: Condition fair LEMONS: Taste great

There is a story here and it goes something like this. COLLECTORS_Pr live in a suburb where there is this guy who walks the streets gleaning/recycling abandoned ‘stuff’ from rubbish skips, street verges, feral plants and so on. For a long time the rumour persisted that he was homeless but not so! Likewise C_Pr’s neighbours, and the Neighbourhood Watch, thought that he might be a little light fingered but not a bit of it!

It took a little while for them to realise that those mysterious things that appeared on their doorstep or just inside the gate were actually left there by ‘The Gleaner’ as a gift. Sometimes these gifts are accompanied with a note if he happens to have a pen and some paper about his person. C_Pr have agreed to document the last 2 of their gifts and the next 9.

CROCINFLATABLE: Condition uninflatable but OK

The note said "this might make some child happy"

And hey, this guy is a very special kind of collector!

THE WUNDERKAMMER SYNDROME

There is growing evidence that the first person to collect by 11s was a chap named Olaus Wormius but we are wondering about that. We are doing some research on this chap.

Can you help?
